French President François Hollande visits the University of Strasbourg


President of France was visiting the University of Strasbourg on 30 January 2014. François Hollande spent few hours in Strasbourg, mostly at the University. Apart from local politicians and university officials, François Hollande also met some of our members (Jean-Marie Lehn, Luisa De Cola)

Graphene appointed an EU Future Emerging Technology flagship


The European Commission has chosen Graphene as one of Europe’s first 10-year, 1,000 million euro FET flagships. The Graphene Flagship will coordinate 126 academic and industrial research groups in Europe, including 2 members of our cluster (Dr. Aberto Bianco, Prof. Paolo Samori).

Launch of the AXA - University of Strasbourg Chair on Supramolecular Chemistry


The AXA Research Fund is awarding €2.25 million euros to the University of Strasbourg to create an endowed Chair on Supramolecular Chemistry, held by Prof. Luisa De Cola. 

The work carried out within this Chair will follow on from the supramolecular chemistry research began by Professor Jean-Marie Lehn, Nobel Prize Laureate for Chemistry in 1987, within France's only network of excellence for chemistry: the International Centre for Frontier Research in Chemistry.
